Watch Strap Nirvana
Over the past few months, I've ventured beyond my usual OEM watch straps, typically sticking with them due to my comfort zone. It all began last year with my first nato strap purchase, despite not being a big fan previously.
While browsing at my AD, I came across a red & black Omega nato. The my SP saw my interest and swiftly swapped out the steel bracelet for the nato. I was immediately sold on its appearance, regretting not trying one on sooner!
However I quickly fell back into my comfort zone until @SimonB Simon sent me a YT video, featuring camo straps. I'm not a big fan of camo, especially large swaths such as shirts and or pants but in small does I thought it might work. I ordered the 2 camo straps along with other various rubber and leather straps in color; because life is better in color 😉.
Driven by my appreciation for uniqueness I came across Rusty's @RustyTheSinnMan WRUW post, showcasing his Sinn on a bund strap, a style missing from my collection. Despite the challenge of finding a quality bund strap, I reached out to Rusty for a custom creation.
We discussed specifics opting for a black bund with red stitching primarily for my SMP 300. The request quickly expanded to include two additional straps and a slim wallet. Rusty meticulously documented the process, sending me pictures at every stage. Upon completion he sent photo of the completed straps; blowing my expectations away.
Rusty's attention to detail extended to the packaging, which was exceptional and the hand written note was a delightful touch! The craftsmanship of each strap and the wallet is second to none and I couldn't be happier with Rusty's work. I'm grateful for his dedication and craftsmanship.
