A tale of two Seagulls

I had been thinking of getting this China Seagull 1963 column wheel chronograph for a while. I love the beautiful movement as seen through the exhibition case. So I ordered the Sugess version online. Then I saw they had the 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Bronze version in 38mm and was very interested to get my first bronze watch. It was limited to 750 pieces worldwide and already sold out on their website. But I managed to find a brand new in box watch being sold at the original price so I pulled the trigger and bought it too. Both watches arrived within a day of each other. Now I am in a dilemma. I am thinking of selling one of them, but should I keep the Sugess version which is less than half the price of the bronze version? I like the slightly smaller bezel and seems slightly thinner too. The pushers also seem slightly smoother. Or should I keep the limited edition bronze version? Not sure if I will like the patina that will develop but it does look good now and it's limited edition. Or do I just keep both since they are still fairly affordable? But I don't really like having 2 watches that are so similar. What do my fellow crunchers think?

Keep the limited edition

There's no hurry. Keep the boxes and wait. The expendable one will reveal itself soon enough.

Nice watches, btw.

I wore the bronze watch the whole day yesterday. Love it! Will be keeping it for sure. Now just have to decide if I should keep the non limited steel version as well.

One of the concerns I've seen raised about these, is the high cost of servicing, compared to the price of the watch.

But for watch collectors, how much actual wrist time do they get? So perhaps it's less relevant, or keep the cheaper one as a spare movement, and wear the bronze.

I agree with @Eliminator
