The design is a testament to the tool watch aesthetic, some would say a rip-off but from who Rolex? Wrong, glycine came up with that bezel first, so I rest my case. The dial is blue of a darker shade so depending on the amount of light things can seem black. Both dauphine hands feature lume while the GMT function is based on the combination of a red hand and a fixed bezel with 24-hour markings. The dial features lumed applied indices while the stainless steel case has guards protecting a GS-signed crown.
This is a true GMT, with a date complication powered by a serviceable 9f86 quartz Mouvement accurate to +-10 seconds a year for 100 meters of water resistance (I think I am safe with virtually no risk of drowning at my desk yet thanks GS wink). The OEM bracelet is 19 mm wide using a milled double press button clasp, to be honest, nothing fancy, a bit plain but sound. Proportion-wise, the watch is just within my Goldilocks zone, for my 6.8'/17 cm wrist, we're talking of a 39 mm diameter for a 12 mm thickness. My only minor gripe would be on the type of leather strap this model requires, a chunky one... You can't have it all apparently, we're darn close. It's on my wrist almost every day, it's the most reliable indicator for me.
I refrained from discussing the finishing but those in the know... It's an open secret... I won't mention the value for money, at least in this very distorted world of nonessential timepieces.
I have never bothered to weigh the watch but it doesn't appear to be an issue for me and the fit is great, done at my local boutique, where nobody laughed at me nor tried to get me to build a purchase history 😎😡😤 they just sold me what I wanted. I know kinda of boring...
