I happen to like the marlin text and set of striping that runs under the glass around the inner case of the watch. It gives the watch just one more dimension when you glance down at your wrist and before turning to see the face of the dial, you see Marlin hiding in the highlights of the polished steel and the navy blue fabric strap.
I personally wouldn't change anything about this watch, I think it's overly charming at a price absolutely nobody will scoff at.
