What's a Weird Use Case for Your Watch?

I just wanted to make a post because I feel like it's been ages and with my schedule, may be ages again til my next.

But that's not interesting so here's the meat - as the title states, do any of you use your watch for odd things? As an example, I use my watch for hollistic eye exercises - I stare at the dial as close as I can clearly make it out for 30 seconds and then stare out as far as I can for 30s and so forth.

I got PRK a couple years ago so I'm trying my best to maintain it for as long as possible. Also, this allows me to admire my pieces and slow down a bit throughout the day, something I think everyone could use more of.

Anyone else do something odd with their watches or am I just going to get lambasted? 😅

Most of us just stare lustily at our dials. You've made this productive & potentially therapeutic.

I use one of my watches to monitor the ocean tides, but it was made for that. (It also has a built-in compass and temperature gauge.)

·

I should buy a moon phase to monitor my lady's monthly cycle. Women just love it when men do this sort of thing!

In all seriousness, I love the ticking sound of a mechanical watch. I find it calming and oftentimes raise my watch to my ear just to hear it.

Usually wear my Laco B-uhr in bed because I like the ticking & it's got the best lume for those night time trips to the loo 😂

·

I use my watch to chose my outfit for the other day. :)

Wife: Honey stop starting at your watch!

Me: What? I'm just doing holistic eye exercises.

“You feeling anything yet?”

“Let me check my watch. It’s only been fifteen minutes.”
