More money more problems

I heard a rumor that Omega is raising their prices again starting March 1st. Does anyone know if this is true?

Things that are constant…death, taxes, and price increases

I would be surprised, even at discounts they are having a hard time moving existing inventory and grey dealers seem to have a steady supply of new stock that they can’t move. It would not work out well for them to do so and would end up at pre-Covid levels of inventory flooding the market. $3K Seamasters for everyone!

They will, just as they do every year. A piece I was looking at a year ago suddenly went up by $900. That took it off my list completely.

It’s getting close. They are under $4k if look hard enough, that is before negotiating.

No surprise

Anyone who raises their prices in the current market is mad as a badger, most of the brand giants are already massively overpriced with rolex probably the worst culprit of the lot. There is a huge difference between a hand made watch and a hand finished watch. Most of the big brands are just hand assembled with many parts being made offsite by other third party manufacturers. Its a disappointing fact but a very high percentage of your submariner price goes on marketing. As long as you are happy to sponser F1 and tennis to name but two your conscience is clear .. our own sales have suffered in the last 18 monthsand the average client will visit three or more times before ordering their new watch.. i predict very difficult times ahead. And whatever you choose dont trat it as an investment as those days have sailed…

All the best rob 😀

My local breitling dealer is only selling 1 watch a week and only one in ten sales are of a premium model 😎😎and every model is available

Agreed, unless one is Patek or Rolex, the rest of the market is not following suit. Omega, IWC, Breitling, etc, all thought they could do the same without tightening supply. I for one am psyched because watches that were way too inflated are dropping not only to 2020 prices, but 2018 prices in some cases.

You’re right about the discounts that #omega is offering. I saw these discounts being offered at #watchesofswitzerland in Heathrow airport a couple of weeks ago.

These are published discounts you get before even asking for them!
