Very clean design; almost looks like one of their Orient Star divers with the stick hands, but just smaller. I like the naked steel bezel. And quite different from the Kamasu.
The key with Jomashop is only buy if it says "In Stock." When it says "ships in X days" that means it is NOT in stock but they think they can source it within that period. And it's always overly optimistic. 1-2 days is actually a week. 3-4 days can be almost 2 weeks. Once it lists more than a week, that could be months if ever. I've bought maybe 2-3 watches from them, and the ones that weren't in stock each took a week to 10 days, and I also had to call and complain both times to get them to check on the status.
Might be a bit above your price range, but your parents might be able to find a Seiko Cocktail Time on sale for around $300. Something like the SRPE43 with beautiful blue dial. Or for an everyday watch that can be more dressy, the Seiko SZSBs that sort of look like the larger classic SARB033/035, but with a more basic 4R movement. These can be found for <$300. And some of the older Seiko 5s are dressier and fun. The SNXS7x series are great affordable watches with dials similar to an Oyster Perpetual. The 19mm bracelet is bad though and should be replaced, but you'd have money left over for it.
There are not a lot of players in the $2-3K part of the market. Longines has been there for a long time. Nomos and Oris have crept up into that zone. Sinn if you are into tool watches. Most of Tudor's popular watches are above this range.
