NWA: Timex Easy Reader

While shopping at Walmart, I "accidentally" spun my cart into the Accessories Department and found a shiny Timex that was just placed on clearance. It was priced at a $11 and that's all it took for it to come home with me.

This two-toned Timex Easy Reader TW2V05600 came on the Perfect Fit Expansion Band which, unlike the older expansion bands, now allow for further size tweaking through the easy removal of links. The adjusting process required no tools and only needed the pressing of certain link parts to release a link segment.

All in all, I'm really happy with this $11 watch pick up. I can't wait to try it on different straps. For now, it looks like I know what I'm wearing for the 2024 Solar Eclipse tomorrow.

Great dial and a ridiculously low price! Nice find. 👌

Indiglo, a calendar, a ten year battery, and an expansion band on a classically practical watch for that price is a total winner. So the little U-pins are exposed on the side of the bracelet without needing to pry back a shield? If you can get these expansion bands to be completely unexpanded when on the wrist, they are perfectly comfortable.

Sheesh they were tryin to get $47 for that huh? $11 is deal!

The links down the center of the bracelet do not expand. It is this part that can split apart by pushing down on the center part the back of a link. Take a look at this video. https://youtu.be/VIAEafZvhA8
