Not sure you can call CW a microbrand anymore but between those two the Dune wins for me.
What does your collection need? Both amazing watches. Both are great everyday watches. The Farer is more dive oriented however and comes with 3 straps. Between both, I say go with Farer unless you already have a dive watch in your collection.

Anytime! My reasoning is that this is a great dive option with a day/date complication. As you said, you just have the 1 Seiko at the moment. That means with the 3 strap options that come with the Farer, you will essentially feel like getting 3 different watches because of the versatility.
