Ebay ban for no reason
The strangest thing happened. Signed up for eBay, first time in my life, only to bid and possibly buy watches. Made a few bids but didn't win any auctions. Then I purchased a aligator strap, and I was immediately banned for life from eBay. I tried calling and they said the banishment is permanent, irreversible and they gave me no explanation as to why. I couldn't believe it as I've never sold anything on ebay or even had an account before. I've never been arrested, nothing illegal of any sort. It's crazy. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm just shocked.

My guess is your account may have been hacked previously. I have had spam inquiries from people who hack eBay accounts asking to do transactions through PayPal and they get flagged like a week or two later. I’d just make a new account if I were you.

Thanks, I will try that. Now I'm worried about identity theft. I do nothing in my entire life that any retailer would be offended or jeopardized by. I've been told I'm too much of a rule follower. Lol
Depending on where you are you may be able to make a data subject request to obtain All information they Dave on you including reasons for the ban.
Some crazy shit happened to me back in 2000, still can't do anything on ebay!!!. I used to buy-sell-trade racing collectables. Guy from Murfreesboro, Tennessee ended up sending me junk then Immediately reported me for a scam!! Nothing I could do about and lacked the knowledge to fight it. Was a nice source of extra income and that prick pushed me out.
Wow I feel for you, I’ve bought a few things off eBay but stopped cause the items I bought didn’t work they arrived broken so I’m not spending hard earned money on junk

Was it real Alligator Skin? Was is Certified for sale? If not, it was probably illegal for the seller to offer it. And therefor illegal for you to try to buy it.
Is the seller’s account still active?
