Date Window Placement - 12 oclock?!

Little slow at work today, decided to browse watches online. I am not a Movado guy and don't plan to buy this watch, but the placement of the date was intriguing. Curious to know how you feel about the date window being at the 12 o'clock slot. I know Movados branding usually has a dot there, so they are playing into that. I must say I don't think it's terrible. Kind of like it. Probably still prefer the 6 o'clock location but this isn't bad. What do you think?

With that date window up there, makes me feel like I’m looking at it upside down. 🙃

I prefer that position over 3, 4, or 4:30.

Regardless of the date position, that may be one of the nicest Movado’s I’ve ever seen. I (somewhat ashamedly) own a museum pro blue dial from the late ‘90’s and since that time have never seen another Movado I would even consider buying, but this one made me look twice. 😀

As far as position, I really don’t mind where it is as long as it makes sense with design of the dial.

Yeah date windows are a weird one.

Tag Heuer recently released a glassbox Carrera with the date @ 12.

Some days I like it. Some days I don’t.

It’s a weird one…

Depending on the execution, I quite like it. On the Longines Heritage Conquest I think it looks weird because it's a bit apologetic:

But when it's a bold feature, like on the Mido Multifort TV Big Date, it can look great:

I think Tag Heuer did a good job here - it's set high enough that it simply reads as the typically oversized twelve index. When it's set lower, like on the Longines Conquest Heritage, and out of alignment with the indices, it starts to look awkward for me.
