Some people need this more than others

Is anyone else really tired of YouTuber watch culture? The only thing most of those people ever managed to do was make me paranoid that strangers were secretly judging me for my watch.

I'm not saying most luxury watches aren't nice, but honestly, most of these people couldn't survive a camping trip, and they're trying to tell me what field watch I should buy. If you can't change your own tire, don't talk to me about "rugged" watches.

I'd honestly rather strike up a conversation with someone wearing an Invicta Star Wars collab than most watch nerds.

I'm not sure who you're talking about, but I stay away from judgemental YouTubers who promote snobbery. The great thing about YouTube is you can choose to stop watching any time.

Youtube is all about the likes and subscribers not to mention Patreon and Buy me a coffee. List specs and either swoon over it or trash talk it then rinse and repeat. A few actually do it because they like watches but not many. The luxury guys actually deal in them and the affordable guys actually like the income. Name drop a few stars watches for the likes.

This. Sounds like you need different channels or simply start unsubscribing. Again, most are not experts and one should only value their opinion as much as the next stranger you encounter.

Unlike many on this site-I'm not a fan of you tube watch videos. I've seen a few but couldn't name one "popular" You Tuber(?)

Chacon a son gout.

Great point and I agree with you wholeheartedly. We all dream about an expensive and lovely watch but the reality is, unless your minted, ordinary watches are great. I do look at the occasional expensive watch review on YouTube but have gravitated towards affordable watch reviewers especially if I am interested in a particular model/brand. Ben & Jody spring to mind although they do the occasional pricy watch. Affordable to me is less than £500. I must point out that for years I put £5 each week in a jar and after a few years I might spend it on a pricy watch, but that would have to be a grail watch for me (GS the next one - a few years off).

can you named what youtube channel is that?

There are YouTube channels for all tastes. Watch channels you enjoy, avoid ones you don't enjoy, or don't watch any YouTube channels at all if you prefer...

What you see on youtube, depends on what you want to see. The youtubers i watch can look at a digital casio the same way, they judge a 5k watch. Every hobby has some idiots, but it´s very easy to ignore them on youtube, instagram, ...
