Titan vs Stainless steel watch

So recently i've been thinking a Titanium watch to add new watch to my collection

Should i buy it? What the plus and minus of a Titanium watches? Any recommendations?

Some infos i got from internet said i shouldn't buy it because its prone to scratch and not as strong as stainless steel, but others said its very durable

And i'm confused now

The “it scratches easier” is nonsense. The scratches just tend to show more. I’ve had the Pelagos 39 for only a few days, but it has acquired the same amount of micro scratches as my BB54 after a few days of ownership.

I like the tone of the metal. It’s tool like. Titanium erasers remove scratches with ease. Wrist Swap, which is Harrison’s channel, showed how easy it is to remove scratches on his Pelagos using various methods.

I recommend the RZE yellow dial diver or Pelagos 39 if you can drop the cash on it. The Pelagos 39 is my first titanium watch and I love it.

Most titanium watches have a hardness coating that helps with the scratches. As far as the benefits ti watches are a lot lighter and I find them to be more comfortable than steel. It can be a little harder to get that high polished look with titanium and it’s generally more expensive, but I really like them. Zelos, Boldr, RZE, Citizen and Seiko all have affordable titanium options.

You should try, i really like the light weight of Titanium, it’s make me feel comfortable to wear all day long 💪💪💪

I'm interested in titanium because of the greyish matte color and the lightness.

Should i try citizen titanium or tissot titanium?

Both almost have the same price

Love mine.

A Bertucci A-2t and an Arken Instrumentum.

At first, titanium feels too lightweight as I associated weight with quality. But after a while you start to appreciate the weight and love the durability. Mine has a coating so it shows no scratches after repeated abuse.

Titanium doesn't have a lot of negatives, most of them were covered already by the previous posts.

The big positive for me is the bio-combability of titanium. It makes for a more comfortable and itch free experience, especially during the summer.

I see... looks like i must try it.

in my place everyday is around 37-39 degree C, so sometimes when it get too hot i must release my watch to reduce hotness and itch when using my automatic watches

I'm interested on the lightweightness factor of it

For scratch on body maybe i'm not too minded it as long the crystal is sapphire

Just as I wouldn't snag a MoonSwatch merely because it is bioceramic I wouldn't pursue a watch solely because it's titanium.

There are spec and design features that are more important to me than the case material though I'm most pleased when the case material suits the watch to a T.

Is the case material being used as a novelty (think bronze or white gold) or is it also beneficial to the intended function?

A titanium field watch on a durable strap would be an attractive weight vs ruggedness vs purpose piece to me for hiking and camping though YMMV.

For me it would depend on which one you like the look of more. A solar system doesn’t guaranty that you’ll never have to change the battery and that change will be more difficult to perform and source than a standard quartz one, on the other hand the battery will last much longer with the ecodrive.

Tudor Pelagos, titanium feels better on the skin and is 10x stronger than steel. Nuff said.😃👍
