Seiko at Sunset
I am always surprised when folks ask if they should get a SARB033 today. My surprise has nothing to do about the watch itself, and really more about the number of new watches (from Seiko and others) that have been released since the 033 was discontinued that are both great and sorta full the same shoes. I think the other obvious part is that it’s just a bit difficult to justify the premiums these are currently trading for. Having said all that, every time I put this one on I am reminded of how great the 033 is. I wish it came on a nicer bracelet and had a solid caseback, but those are small quibbles… and on a leather strap this boy sings.

Great shot. Everytime I think of letting mine go, I put it on and it pulls me back in. While many have come following its discontinuation, none (in my view) have had the same charm. What a beauty!
