Am I a statistical outlier? I like to track the accuracy of my watches using an app on my phone. It’s fun and interesting. I sometimes attempt to regulate them too. Only the less expensive ones with Mitota or Seiko movements. I’ve had some success with it. It’s challenging, especially with movements that use a regulating arm or lever, instead of a screw. It’s hard not to push the lever too far. If anyone has any tips or tricks for how to do this precisely and in a controlled manner (tiny adjustments to the lever), I’d love to hear them! I know it may look like I’m obsessed (ok maybe just a little) but I do have realistic expectations of the accuracy of low end movements. Within 25 spd is ok, within 15 spd is very good, within 10 spd is great. 👍🏻 😀

Never.
I set it to the correct time when I put it on and enjoy wearing it for however long I do until I wear the next one. When I check the time it's never to the second or even minute. If someomes asks I never say its 1:32:56. I say" it;s around 1:30".
I used to but then my laziness outweighed my OCD
I am obsessed with watches too. I do not do this but after reading this post I’m considering it. What app do you use?

I go to the minute but that's it.
I don’t track my watches performance thru an app, however I log all my watches on an app😉
I track them as well, but usually only for the first week or two of ownership.
If a watch with no accuracy promise is gaining at or under +10 spd I'm happy.
If it has a guarantee, as long as it's in the specified range, I'm ok although for a Chronometer I'd rather have it gain +5 SPD than lose 1 second a day.

Ok. I’ll check it out. Thanks

You can track timing in the Watchee app if you want to.

I definitely prefer it to be running fast rather than slow.
I got a timegrapher to do that but usually up to 30 seconds a day is forgivable
Your not the only one.

Yup thanks I know, I use a timegrapher to check when I’m in the mood 😉🤣

Shew… ok I feel better now! 👍🏻😜

Oh I use a timegrapher too. But that just shows the rate at that moment. The app lets me track average rate over a day or a week, or …

Yeah I get that, but that’s not really a bother for me I only check em periodically or when there’s a noticeable change in accuracy 👍🏻
I do enjoy the hell out of wearing my watches! Just wanted to clarify that. 😜
Oh I just realized it was you Ben! I’m still enjoying my Timegrapher! Thank you 🫡

Glad to hear it. They are fun little gadgets.
I don't track accuracy but I track what I wear
