Rub a dub dub, please give this Omega a scrub
OK, I have to say it, it’s been driving me crazy since she (Britt Pearce) started talking about the 2254.40 two months ago. And I want to say this is not a detraction from her channel, I enjoy it. And for those that have been counting, this is now her 3rd video that she has brought this one out, but I’m OK with that. But please, please clean this thing, its’ begging for it. Or is it just me, is my OCD that bad?

I clean my watches once every 8-10 years. Whether they need it or not 😉
It’s not hers, but agreed. If you’re going to film it, give it a quick brush 😂
If it's dried up it can be non-trivial to clean those creases without altering the finishing.
Aggressive chemicals will mess up your bezel, matter of fact a few days ago the Omega service centre called to let me know they butchered my old bezel (for no earthly reason) which is now void of any color, and aggressive rubbing will leave marks on the metal. Especially if it isn't her watch, I'd leave that alone 10 times out of 10.
The crud helps the watch wear more comfortably and "glide" better along the wrist. No cap. 🤣

Yes please. They are great but way better cleaned.
I clean mine with soap and water and a toothbrush. Works well and no bezel damage.

I bought a cheap set of soft jewellery brushes from Amazon, quick swirl in some dish soap and a light wash tends to work for me!

My partner’s brother in law has the quartz version. He had to pick from a dodgy secondhand car or a new nice watch for an 18th birthday present. He went for the watch. It’s one of only two he has. I love that his kids know this as “Daddy’s watch!”
Her channel is great, high quality content whilst still keeping it grounded.
She’s a good advocate for the reality of what most people think of us when we try and talk watches.
I hate that they are becoming more popular, prices keep creeping up!
