It is good to see that I am not alone experiencing (multiple times - seems I dont learn from my mistakes) all the 7 negatives you listed! I have an additional negative: the snobbish attitude of some collectors and brands infuriates me. Yes, I mean Rolex and their "waiting lists" just to be allowed to unload your cash to get a watch from their sports range. Mind you, I love mine that I got 30 years ago (just like my other watches) - but today, though, I'd choose never to get a Rolex.
If you are rich enough, somehow taxes can be dodged and evaded😉. Regarding the Vostok straps and all the Guru's dogmatic points of view: we just let them talk too!
Despite the fact that this type of heart rate monitors is not very accurate (I had two of wrist based monitors before and ditched them in desperation) I love Gshocks and still will be getting it😜. For its intended purpose chest straps are just much, much more accurate and consistent: I do lots of cycling and really need to monitor my heart rate. Said that, I did not get mechanical watches because they are accurate, but because I love them. Just like this square G-Shock.
The more beautiful the watches, the more difficult the choice! But after long deliberation, I gave my twopence in the poll: my choice falls on the Omega.
