After getting a new battery in this old beast.ive noticed the 1/100th of a second hand hasn't reset to 0.any ideas from you lovely people how to reset it myself?๐ญ
I think there are generally two options. One is to remove the module and gently nudge the hand into the correct orientation. The second is to get the hand stopped in the right spot and then find the little AC (all clear) or Reset on the module back and press it with a pencil point or something.
It varies model to model, but there will almost certainly be a way to โzeroโ the hands. Thatโs what you need to look for. Doesnโt need tricks or opening it up. On more analogue modules, thereโs often a method involving using the chrono pushers whilst in set mode, or an option that swings every hand (and date wheel) to a โzeroโ position (twelve oโclock high all hands, and the first of the month) that you then adjust.
Edit: I would also add that itโs worth checking if that hand also displays other info, as the red on the dial suggest it may also function as a power check. In which case, it may go back to 12/0 when you set its mode.
Which is all a long way of saying, it will be in the manual.
Hold the lower right button a few seconds, then H Set or Hand set will appear, use the forward and reverse buttons to adjust the first hand to position, then press mode the โselectโ the main hands, and adjust with the forward and reverse to 12, and then you should be good

There may be some model specific way if you RTFM.

Try to google the movement for instructions to reset the hands. I have done it for my Casio Edifice chronograph watch.
