A fun poll while I debate with myself

Happy Sunday folks! I fully recognize that this is not a problem. I’m fortunate to even ask this question - but which one?

I have a choice of three watches. All three are around the same (good) price and all three are brands I’ve never owned. And they all fit well on my wrist. That’s where the similarities end.

The first is a Girard Perregaux Traveller. I’ve never owned an alarm complication, but it’s on the list. Plus it has a second time zone so this is super practical.

The second is a Grand Seiko - a titanium version with Spring Drive. I love titanium and this is a definite every day wear for me.

The third is a Sinn with the cool Lemania 5100 movement. Sinn is amazing. The Lemania 5100 has the rep it has for a reason.

I’m struggling as all three have their selling points and they are all different. The Sinn is a solid tool watch, the Grand Seiko is a solid every day, and the Girard Perregaux is a solid alarm/GMT.

It would be so much easier if they were all divers or chronographs - that would be an apples to apples comparison.

So I thought I’d turn to the WC community for a little fun while I debate with myself. If you had to pick one of these three options - which one would you choose? Just purely for fun as I know there isn’t a “right” answer here.

That GP is next level. Alarm complication would be useful to just about anyone and the design of the piece is timeless and elegant.

It fully depends on your present collection, but an alarm is not just cool, it's very useful.

Tough one as those are three very different watches. have a GS and a Sinn, albeit not the models shown, had to go A for the GP.

Don't know about the GP, but owned a poljot alarm, if not wound, the alarm bell is ringing most of the time if my hand move, unless perhaps like the advisor that the alarm could be turn off even wound.

The GS. If I wore that GP it would remind me of Communism every time that Red Star appeared.

Definitely not an “apples to apples” comparison. 😁

I haven’t noticed but now I’m going to try to see if I can hear anything.

That G-P is money. I'd go for that alarm complication. Unique time piece and a beauty.

Your old Poljot alarm watch would trigger by just your arm movement? Mine u have to wind to trigger the alarm once it is set.

Mine too, but if the alarm has been triggered, i think the hammer mechanism inside is loosen and hit the resonance chamber if it is not wound again. Not that bad, just when you have a sudden movement of your arm, it rang. Nice vintage you have, I have the dolphin.

Needs the sudden change of movement after the alarm fully triggered without rewinding it. Take certain effort.

Just a printed graphic adorning the space.

The GP Is true high horology. May not be the popular choice of the poll, but the best watch.

·

GS. My grail brand.

Lately I 've really been appreciating the numbered (or partially numbered) dials. Most watches, if it wasn't for the date window, wouldn't have any numbers at all. And 'time' is numbers.
