Enjoy hobbies of watch collecting, poker and listening to music. Mainly less expensive watches with emphasis on microbrands and value oriented name brands.
Love it especially for the $. Lots of dial choices. The aventurine is my fave but all are very attractive. Taste is very individual. I don't understand the criticism of being derivative. Almost all normal watches are derivative. At least normal people can afford these without streching.
Both brands are goodI have one from each. The Citizen is the first watch owned since the 80's. I got it on a cruise years ago so we could track time since our cell phones did not work at sea. The Seiko was from our 40th anniversary cruise last year. Both are great in different ways. Skip the Citizen mall watches. They make really nice watches but don't have the enthusiast cred of Seiko. Both brands need to get rid of mineral crystals. If Pagani can put a saphire crystal on their $100 watches. Seiko and Citizen can do it on theirs. I just replaced the Citizen crystal with a saphire for $75. The king sumarai came with one but at the higher price.
My Zelos Hammerhead with MOP dial is great. Cant get a good pic of the dial color shift. I use it as my beater watch incl snorkling & swimming. It just gets better and better the more I use it.
