I had to put down my dog last Friday. As I was processing and dealing I realized that I was wearing the GW-M5610 when we had to put down our other dog nearly two years ago. The same watch when we put down our dog last week. Like the title said, unexpectedly meaningful.
It doesn’t make me sad to have this emotional connection between this object and two sad events. Like any grief process I’m conflicted because I lost my dogs but happy that they are no longer sick/in pain. I’m not sure what any of this means quite yet - or if I ever will. But that’s ok. Meaningful connections don’t always have to be clear. They just have to be there.
Thanks for letting me rant. 😄But thank you to Charlie and Snowy for being the bestest dogs. I’ll miss you both forever. Now go play.

Ugh losing dogs is so tough, sorry for your loss. You may be surprised (or not) how often you reach for your 5610 over other watches until it’s your ‘one watch’.
It's the worst. I'm sorry, brother. 🤝
Sorry for your loss mate 😞
I guess that watch has become a forever piece. Good luck.

It’s tough to lose our furry babies … condolences…
I’m sorry for your loss… totally understand your meaning … 🥹😢
Sorry for your loss. Had to put down a couple of pets the last couple of years and it’s devastating.
I have a Longines that I bought specifically for my mother’s funeral last year. I think of her always when I wear it. I don’t have anything of hers but that is the one thing that represents my connection to her now. It’s a cherished watch and, like you, it doesn’t make me sad at all to have it. It reminds me of her. So I say keep that 5610 forever and wear it for the wonderful memories 👌

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s extremely difficult to say goodbye to loyal companions/family members. It’s good you have the watch to remind you to think of the good times with them.
