Just a thought: Is watchcrunch the only true social media site left?

I've never been into social media, even tough I grew up with it. I had an account on numerous platforms but never actively used any. I feel like the people I care about, I see in real life and the ones I dont, I also don't need to see what they do and vice versa.

Im not super active over here either but still much more than I have ever been anywhere else. Watchcrunch truly feels like a message in a bottle thing. I can post a picture of a watch and some random guy on the other side of the globe might see it and interact.

We jost post about things we all are interested in...watches. I guess it would be similar if you were in a topic specific facebook group or something but here you dont have the clutter, just good vibes and people looking to learn about watches (for the most part). Even Chinese Hommage watches get love here, just dont post your wrist phone by apple! 😄

Let's hope it stays flex culture free for as long as possible.

Nicely articulated! I was introduced to a fella at my favourite multi brand watch boutique a few months ago, man is a very serious enthusiast/collector. Quite a few years younger than I am but interested in timepieces very much out of my realistic financial reach, one man’s ceiling is another man’s floor, haha. Sometime after noticed a post from the same enthusiast here on Watch Crunch, I decided to follow just a simple nod to our brief meeting.

I just deleted all my social media today except this, so I totally agree with everything you said. This is the only social media that has been consistently positive and I even learn a lot from it, so all good!
