Solution to a problem that may not exist

I've heard people report the Velcro on the factory FXD strap getting less sticky with time. It hasn't happened to me, and even if it did become unstuck, I don't think the watch would just fall off easily. But it got me to thinking about a solution.

I recently received a Prometheus Design Werx NATO with titanium hardware. I'm the kind of weirdo who converts most of his NATO straps to single pass, and I converted this one. Instead of tossing the extra bits, I removed the keeper. I slid the keeper onto the factory strap and use it as an extra bit of security to hold the Velcro together.

I think it looks pretty good, and though it may not be solving a problem that really exists, it does give me piece of mind.

Great idea, just got to be patient whilst waiting for my FXD

All Velcro wears out if it's frequently opened & closed.

It’s worth the wait. Picked mine up this week after 6 months of waiting
