Sinn H-Link Bracelet?? Worth the money?

I bought this Uncle Straps bracelet for my 556 and think it looks amazing, but I have always wondered what it would look like with the factory bracelet. I like the H-link design but am wondering if it is worth the price tag and how the balance is on the wrist? Thanks for any feedback!

I have the H link for my 856 and my u50. I think it’s a great looking and feeling bracelet. There’s a lot of chaff out there about the clasp, but is a normal operation clasp that works as it should. I like the bracelet personally.

Same wrist size for me. Love my 856. Also then gives you the option for tegimented steel which is amazing 🤙

That uncle strap is such a perfect fit though. Nice 👍

Yeah you're right in the middle. If your wrist was 7" or bigger I'd say 856. I wear my 556A RS on my 6.5" wrist and love the size. I think I would still go 856 at 6.75". Both are beautiful watches though, you really can't go wrong.

·

I also don't have an H Link (wear my 556A RS on a factory black leather strap with red accent stitching) and also really like the look of the H Link and have been tempted. I think if you're not in a rush, it might be worth waiting on the new clasp becoming available for the 556 version of the H Link. It will be more money but includes ratcheting tool-less micro-adjustments.

Wow looks fantastic and original. Even that style Sinn is on my bucket list.

Very nice Sinn! Definately worth the bracelet

When I bought my 556 I bought it with the leather strap as I really like the watch on it. I did however buy the H link bracelet immediately from Sinn direct. It looks great on both & I regularly interchange between the two.

The bracelet you have with the watch looks great & £225 to get the Sinn H link seems excessive to me given how good the one you have looks.

*Sorry, to answer your question, yes the Sinn bracelet is good value but only if you don't have a suitable bracelet to wear with the watch in the first place.

·

My 556 wears perfectly on the bracelet. A very solid bracelet, but it doesn't make the relatively small 556 feel 'over-strapped'. Clasp isn't too inspiring, and the end-links have the faintest rattle - but the looser tolerances do make it a bit easier to remove and refit. I'd like to add a 104 at some point, and TBH would probably go for the H-link again if I do.👍

Given Oris charge £325 for Diver's 65 bracelet - quite lightly made - I'd say £225 isn't too bad for the Sinn. Not the best clasp, but a very solidly made bracelet.

I totally agree with your assessment, it's good value for money. Baume & Mercier will charge you £300 for a rubber strap & clasp for the Riviera, so £225 for the Sinn bracelet is a bargain by comparison.

I like the look of the Sinn H-link bracelet, and it's nicely built, but the clasp doesn't have enough microadjust holes. I've never been able to get a good fit with it (without removing the diver's extension and putting the spring bar through a standard link). I'm really hoping they will release the new on-the-fly microadjust clasp separately for the 556 soon.

·

The clasp isn’t good. Otherwise it is nice.

·

I love Sinn, but I think they forgot to install the crystal on your watch. 😍

I think I am uniquely qualified to give you my thoughts- I have the H link bracelet and I have an uncle Seiko end-mill on my SKX. Both are equally comfortable, but the Sinn H link diver extension has let me down a couple times. If you snag the back of the clasp on something it pops out the diver's extension and the whole thing comes undone. I almost had it slip off my wrist as a result. Also the divers extension only allows for three micro-adjust holes. To be clear, I have worn the Sinn bracelet for about 2 out of the last three years and this has only happened twice, but if you are wearing it in tough situations you have to be aware of the potential fail.

I recommend you wait on getting a Sinn bracelet. I found out about Sinn's new quick adjust clasp and I would imagine they will release the same clasp for the 556 soon enough. IMO the original bracelet is worth it. (unless we're talking seiko... then it's a hard NO haha)

and the uncle bracelet you have pictured looks great!

Worth the money? Not sure. My 556i is mainly on leather or fabric straps becase the bracelet can get uncomfortable for me. You might wait for their updated bracelets like another poster suggested.

Are they kidding us?

People wanted an adjustable clasp from Sinn for years! And now they came up with this design with a ratcheting mechanism inspired by the cheapest Ali express watches?

Bought my Sinn with the factory bracelet. I like it and has no complained.
