Do you cut and remove the under keeper of your nato strap?

Are you one of those people who likes their watch to sit low and hug your wrist? Are you annoyed by the added thickness caused by the under keeper? I wanna know how many of you cut the under keeper of your nato strap.

No, because you can just do it up a different way (which frankly makes more sense in terms of watch security) and get pretty much the same effect.
looks at letterbox, waiting for a new Spectre Nato to arrive today

yes,...and I also cut off a large part of the end so I don´t have the double fold the end...I find it way too bulky otherwise

Yes

I have to one or two of my NATOs, but not all.

I have in the past ,but seen a vid recently about placing the extra strap elsewhere so will try that next time

I don't understand why anyone would buy a 2 piece NATO and cut the strap off. Just buy a 1 piece.

No. And this is why : https://www.watchcrunch.com/Scaramanga/posts/how-to-properly-wear-a-nato-strap-4746

I tried all the different ways of wearing the nato I got for my SMP and none worked for me, so I took the plunge and made the cut and it resulted in the strap being wearable. Delighted I did it.

well, it´s pretty obvious why, because you have a lot more choice in different colours and paterns....if you only look for 1 piece NATO´s the choice is very limited

I usually fold the extra layer back and move all the hardware to the backside of my wrist. But sometimes I’ll wear a two piece as intended. Here‘s an old one, but it explains as only a video can do…if you don’t already know the method…

With my old natos yes (mostly 5 ring Zulu) I did cut them. But now I buy single pass straps and it’s fine

Never looked for them, so I didn't know.
