Pictured here on the wrist of Davide Cerrato, Bremont CEO. A lume extravanganza, inspired by the Aurora Borealis. We had a talk from an astronomer, then Davide Cerrato and George Bamford explained their latest collaboration.
Well there we go, released today, £4,900 and limited to 500 pieces.
I know it's WR to 500m, but 16.5mm thick is absolutely too much! It must wear like an actual tank!
Beefy specs and beefy dimensions! It really did wear huge. I find it hard to be a good judge of big watches, this was big though. I guess even Hercules needs a watch 😅
They've butchered a lovely case I feel. I wasn't a huge fan of their previous collab either.. What did you think?
Honestly, it’s just not my thing but I figure I’m not the target demographic!
I kinda prefer the blue one if I had to pick. I’m not really sure who this watch is for mind. It’s massive, so you’ll need a big wrist, it’s also blacked out so it’s not going to be one to knock around or it’ll age terribly.
I’m guessing it’s for Bremont or Bamford super fans? The price doesn’t feel too bad for what it is, I’m just not counting on seeing one in public any time soon.

Yeah agreed, if I had to pick one I'd go with the blue one too. I feel the size of case isn't so much the issue. There seem to be plenty of fairly big watches that have huge appeal and following. Panerai's are an obvious one, then there are some larger Rolex models that people love too. I just don't really understand the colorways and design choices on the dials on those Bremont's. With that said, they're limited and they'll probably sell out.

Yeah Panerai is a great example of a watch that looks much better in a larger size. This is definitely part of that arena!
You’d need to be on board with the lume gimmick on this. Gimmick might be a bit negative, party piece? I think it would be pretty cool at concerts or raves! I’m just not sure I’d want a £5k watch on in a festival tent for 3 days 😅 it’s definitely waterproof enough for mud and spilled beer at least!

Love the #lume
Wait, this is the watch that's being released on Thu 22nd?!

It is! The very one 😄

What can you tell us? Size? Movement? Price? Limited numbers?
It’s enormous. Very similar to the Supermarine S500 Bamford, but with a GMT function and green lume rather than blue.
I’m not 100% sure on the movement. It’ll definitely be limited. Last time out it was 250, I can imagine this to be pretty similar.
It was very much a glitzy preview than a technical deep dive on the night. Cool to chat to Davide and George about it first hand!
