Can you still get this model? The Ginza editions have been sold out including this variant. If you find any, they are usually over $1000 compared to the original retail price of $600.
This is the open heart version of the OG Ginza. I love the dial and if it wasn’t hopelessly marked up over MSRP, I would have pulled the trigger on it.
I was trying to like those 60's especially the one w the red bezel but I'm not convinced. Also they could have placed the lume better imo. Reminds me of the SNKL41J1 I tried sooo hard to love...

I have about four problems with this off the bat. If one likes open hearts, we'll skip to the weird dial that looks like the gameboard on my old iPod nano. Is it supposed to capture the view of one trapped at the bottom of a well? There appears to be a 24 hour dial, which might make sense were a calendar involved. One is not. I like that the bezel is nice and thin, but it's fixed and the numbers flip at the equator.

I still can get this model at 500 at local online shop
It’s nice but that style reminds me a lot of the Baltic Aquascaphe, which is objectively better and still maintains that retro appeal. Still a nice looking watch though!
I think it’s a bit fussy/fancy for an everyday watch (for me). But if that’s what you need in an everyday watch, then go for it. It should be a robust watch.

It's a beauty, but does this version have sapphire? IIRC that model comes with hardlex. Might want to get something with sapphire and a screw down crown for a GADA

This version is only available on Hardlex. I’ d barely swim myself so I think im fine with no screw down crown.
Anything with an open heart gets a pass imo. It’s got nice retro vibes as well. If the design speaks to you I’d pull the trigger on it.
