Review of the Orient Star Basic Date

This watch is an exceptional timepiece that is not only unique but also affordable. Its amazing features are typically found in high-end luxury watches, such as an in-house movement, a captivating dial, and an incredible finish that's bound to catch your eye.

This particular watch boasts a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 12mm. As an individual with a smaller wrist, I find this to be the largest watch that still complements my wrist perfectly. The watch's size is just right for me as it doesn't look too bulky or too small, and it still manages to make a statement.

The bracelet is visually stunning and adds to the watch's overall charm. The trapezoid mid-links are a distinctive touch that differentiates it from other watches. However, it may have some minor flaws that need to be considered. The bracelet can sometimes produce a slight rattling noise and may catch on hairs. This is something to keep in mind if you have any concerns.

The crystal's casing and hour markers boast a sleek mirror polish, while the bracelet sports a refined brushed finish and a milled clasp that exudes premium quality. With three micro-adjustments available on the bracelet, I find it more than adequate, as any larger adjustments can easily be made by removing another link.

The movement (Caliber F6N43) promises an accuracy of +25 / -15 seconds per day. However, I believe this may be a drawback for some users who require precise timekeeping. I don't find this to be a crucial factor, and in my experience, I haven't noticed any significant inaccuracy issues. The watch has been performing well and meeting my expectations in terms of timekeeping accuracy.

Overall, if you are looking for an everyday watch that stands out from the crowd, this could be an excellent option for you. It's a timepiece that exudes class and sophistication, and you won't be disappointed with its performance.

I have the grey dial, love it!

Nice one thank you for the review, I don't have a real dressy watch at the moment, I have been considering a 'bambino' but this one definitely merits further investigation.

Cheers buddy 👍

I like to have watches that arent too common.

So to me its a clear winner over a bambino or a prx☺️☺️

Good review of an interesting watch. Orient Star offer great value and are very underappreciated in my opinion.

I couldn't have said it better myself

Good luck with the watch, friend. My only hang up with it is the 50m water resistance. If I'm going to pay the price for a watch like this, at least provide 100m WR.
