Was about to sell this Helm and fell back in love!

Started taking pictures to sell the Miyako last night. My intention was to sell it and get a Christopher Ward Aquitaine GMT.

Putting it on the leather strap reminded me of how much I loved it, I may end up keeping it. It's so well built and nicely finished.  The bezel has loosened up and is now a joy to turn.

Plus, it's very difficult to get one of these.

I've decided that the bracelet is a no-go for my small wrists, well built but ultimately a liability for my shoulder health.

How many of you keep a Miyako on an alternative strap?

Looks great! Definitely worth keeping.

I've been on the waitlist for a while and think current projections have me getting off early next year. Since you have tried other straps, any opinion on some online criticisms that the lug holes are too close to the case making putting straps and even NATOs difficult?

I'm number 521 on the waitlist for one of those and I'm also 421 for the Vanuatu so may have a difficult decision to make this year because I vowed to buy only one watch in 2023.

I had the CW Sealander on the bracelet and it just never clicked with me. I even went as far as to list it on eBay but before it sold I tried a high quality leather strap and it became a keeper. Sounds like what happened with your Miyako.

Yes, most straps are a no-go on this. I cannot fit a NATO easily. Standard springbars are too thin as well, so you have to use Helm Springbars or quick release 22mm straps. I have had little problem with fitting tropic or leather straps provided they use quick release.

Helm should have made a bigger opening to allow this, its on the Casio Duro so no excuses.

Yes that's exactly it. Really wish an alternate bracelet was available.
