growing up my father had a rotation of 2 quartz Tag Heuers and several Wenger watches. Depending on which he wore, I would often find one of the tags he wasn’t wearing on the bathroom vanity. After school I would wonder into the bathroom and spend a few minutes just ratcheting the dive bezel and try the watch on even though the bracelet was too big. This was the beginning of my interest but my actual collecting did not begin until I received my first “real” watch for my 21st birthday. I quickly fell down the rabbit hole watching everything on YouTube from Hodinkee to Just One More Watch.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
What’s the best watch? The one on your wrist that you’re wearing. You wear it you love it it’s yours. If you aren’t going to wear them then what’s the point. It doesn’t matter what your watch costs. Buy what you love first & foremost within a price range you can afford
