Seiko or Swiss?

Many of us have dated Seiko but should we do it today or date a Swiss? We all like the asian exotics but what about Europeans? Which is the best choice on Sunday?

I had both of these on me last night. But only wanted one to go out with today. Laid them both out this morning for a test and was surprised! Never had two perfect scores on a test the same day! Tested the Swiss first 28800 beats per minute off to a fast pace, showed 100% accuracy 0 seconds error per day, amazingly Seiko the diver was up next didn't disappoint 21,600 bpm and also right on time. So which would you choose Seiko or Swiss? Bonus Qu. for experts, anyone know why Seiko gives two trace lines when tested?

I really don´t think it comes down to country of origin, at least not for me. We can all make a standard movement run reasonably well. It really comes down to design and finish. Do you like how the watch looks? Is the finish up to your expectations?

One of the odd aspects of collecting watches that you are spending your hard earned cash on something with a value that is almost completely subjective.

Hilarious, Himari thanks you nailed it!

Swiss, but love Seiko too 😜

Super hard to decide. Better go double wrist

·

Were you listening to Jazz when you took those readings?!

I think the second line is due to the beat error.

That would make more sense..., Cantaloop, I was meloncholic at the time, just trying to keep the watch ticking...I loved that double wristing comment too...well spotted Sam Sam! Double name I notice! But yes you are right one on each wrist.

A few possible explanations for trace error, I thought so called error could be sound reflection or possibly could be that there is damage or contaminant on 1 side of the escape wheel hole jewel ;-) (I am not an expert hoped someone might have the answer?).

In situations like these I always say, when in doubt, buy both
