Omega Seamaster 300m in green.

So, a year since putting my name down for one of these it's finally landed at the AD.

For those of you that have had the good fortune to own and live with one of these for a while, what are your thoughts?

If you've seen any of my #wruw posts you'll know I have an original Goldeneye 300m and a rose gold one.

Have you found the green a worthy addition to your collection, or has it ended up being left in the watch box more than it has been worn?

For me it would be a little too similar to the rose gold to justify having both (though you might fancy a change and perhaps let the rose gold go..)

I’ve not owned the green by the way - just the Tokyo blue and white. Green looks great!

I have 2 greens and wear them quite often.

Ive tried the green SMP300 at the AD. I must admit, it's the most beautiful green watch ever, more than 5168G-010 and Hulk/Kermit/Starbucks IMO.

Thanks for your insight. I'm sure seeing it on the wrist will make my mind up pretty quickly!

That is indeed the dilemma. I have two 300ms already, and there are other brands & watches I'm after.

Having said that, I clearly like variants of the same watch. My mind will be made up in the AD pretty quickly I'm sure, I may spin off and get something completely different!

Indeed my intention had been to get a Moonwatch - but the build quality of the SMP lured me sideways.

The green though is something very special (on rubber especially!)

I absolutely love mine, its almost never been off my wrist since I bought it last month. I just happened to call in at the AD and they had one in stock.

To be honest, I thought I would struggle with the bracelet (not having a taper), but its fine and I've grown to really like it. Turning the bezel isn't the easiest either (compared to say my Grand Seiko Diver or my Black bay), but again that doesn't bother me, as who uses the bezel much?

What stands out is the green dial and bezel, in daylight they look stunning but indoors or in lower light, they almost look black which I like as its very subtle. I also like the 'on the go' adjustment on the clasp, its easily adjusted if your wrist is hot and expanded.

Hope this helps!

Tried it recently but sticking with my plan to buy the white dial. Both are lovely, just think I'd get far more use out of the white and love the contrast with the black rubber.

Thanks so much for your insight. It's one thing trying it on, it's another living with it for a while. I've never had a problem with the bracelet; I find it comfortable. As for the bezels, I think I've only turned mine out of curiosity twice in the whole time I've owned them! It's going to have to be a killer colour for me to justify adding another SM 300m to the watchbox, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

No worries, I also own the titanium 007, but admit I prefer the seaweed SM 300.

I really love the bracelet on the NTTD. Also, the watch looks so different from the standard 300m, I pretty much class it as a different watch. Interesting you wear the green more. Is it because of the love of the green dial, or the weight of the titanium? I know some people 'struggle' with how light they are.

Unbelievably, I've never seen the white dial in the flesh. It does look like a cracking watch.

Damn. Those are two of my favorite Seamasters. 🙌 It’s interesting they both look very different in person then in pictures. The first time I handled the NTTD I was smitten. Before that, having only seen pics, I was “meh”. The subtlety of the colors is really something. The same is true of the green. Green isn’t really my thing but that green is something special in person.
