SOTC March 2023
Sorry if you've already seen this post on Reddit, but I thought the Watchcrunch folk might like to see what I wear as well. 😁
So here's my SOTC for March 2023. Given my current income and other priorities, I've leaned more towards the less expensive watches recently with the A700 being the latest pickup.
My daily is the 36mm explorer and next worn watch has to be the Slim/Heritage Turtle. As with a lot of watch enthusiasts, I'm always looking for what could come into the collection and so far nothing is really grabbing me and feel content with what have.
However, the possible incomers are the following:-
- Longines Avigation Bigeye Chronograph
- Grand Seiko GMT SBGN027
- Rolex Explorer 216570 black dial
- something all black like a Seiko Tuna or CWC SBS diver
For me, have to wear my watches or else think they are just a waste when sitting in a watchbox or drawer so really have to like the watch to want to buy it. What are your thoughts on what I should be looking at and if anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears.
FYI don't need a watch with colour, I like monochromatic watches and especially black dials as you can tell. I'm also not mad into chronographs either.

It's steel but I'm hoping Grand Seiko come out with a titanium 9f quartz watch this year.

I'm not that drawn to the subs and other Rolex models but the Explorer 2 still has that rugged tool vibe about it which I love. Better start saving those pennies 😜

Of course I know who he is! I love the saphire case backs he makes for certain models... his refurbishing is also top notch!
