King Seiko Parts - help needed

Just throwing this out there and I'm not expecting may (if any) replies but I have a King Seiko 45-7001 which needs a new handset as someone in the past has scratched the black paint.

I've checked eBay (frequently) but if anyone has any other sources or recommendations for vintage King Seiko parts, I'd love to know.

It’s possible that the right independent watchmaker may be able to repair the original handset, though I expect it would be difficult to get a perfect match with the paint.

That’s all I’ve got 😅

Already tried that mate 😂 he's made a good effort but not the same as original. The paint he used is shiny whereas the original paint is matte. The seconds hand is also scuffed so I want to replace the lot.

Can’t help but such a beautiful watch. One of my favorites.

I’ve sent my vintage Seikos to both TokeiMedic and Seikologist where they were able to find parts not available on a google search. Not sure where they find them, I suspect you could purchase them without being a watchmaker if you knew the source.

Either way, the point is, it’s worth sending your watch to a specialist if you really care that much.

You can also just get a doner watch, swap the hands and sell the doner watch.
