In America if you steal someone’s Rolex there’s a chance you’ll get shot. I’m sure that deters some criminals from trying..
Things I have never worried about in any city and why I never listen to a thing out of Paul Thorpe's mouth. I get London has seen an uptick, but generally, no one cares, enthusiasts and criminals alike.
It has definitely changed the way I enjoy watches for sure. Tokyo is very safe relatively speaking but in London I think i would avoid wearing anything too noticeably expensive like a daytona or nautilus.

Some of the areas I've lived in the UK people will steal anything of value off you never mind watches I'm talking trainers and coats your more safe in the cities rather than areas people live 😬🤣
