That’s great when you have a story to go with the purchase. I enjoy telling people of my first “serious” watch purchase when I was a young buck working in Iraq & drove with a mate to Kuwait City, saw a gold plated Omega Geneve & snagged it when everyone else was buying the new craze (quartz!) No one could understand why I bought an “old fashioned” mechanical😂
