I organize sometimes…

Not the best at organizing any of my collections. Watches that I wear regularly are scattered about the house. Watches that I wear sometimes go into Pelican cases. For some reason I felt like organizing what’s in this one. Anyway, how do you organize your collection?

My collection is in a drawer 😂. Only have 4 watches and I only wear one atm. So the others are hiding away 👍👍

I have multiple rolls and cases. Haven’t yet found the perfect solution

Uh you mean that these 17 watches are not your entire collection?

In about 35 years of buying I haven’t sold a watch. I’ve lost a couple. 😭

My expensive pieces are in an expensive wooden box. Other watches are in the standard Amazon 24 slot boxes (though I replaced the pillows with soft ones). I'm trying to cut down so I'm trialling putting some in a cheap pelicase with a view to passing them on.

The 24 boxes have some kind of order - a row of Divers, a row of Space related, Dress watches, Chronos. And I try to put rose gold tone to the left, then gold, then steel on the right.

I'm sure there's a better way to do it but I'm so used to it now that I roughly know where every watch is.

On the backside of my lovely bloody Casio you can see and feel the organization. A big watch case in black, 36 slots but only every second slot is filled so I can count on 18 different dial colors. White / silver in the first row second is for salmons, gold and brownish tones, third goes to blues and turquoises and last raw for blacks and greens plus 99% of the collection are classic three handers.

I have a box for current use watches and a box for not-current use watches.

I’ve used inexpensive boxes from Amazon and a few nice watch rolls over the years. I graduated to a custom box I got from Etsy. I needed a specific size and it was fun to get exactly what I needed to fit more watches in a tight space.

Mild amount of order. I’ve got my watch box on top of my EDC case that holds most of the rotation, the valet tray for the daily, and the loud ass Timex Weekender and other knock-arounds in the drawer.
