Just showed it to my wife, who asked, “How is it different from your Grand Seiko?” (Which I just acquired yesterday). For a $100 watch I love, that’s a huge win (And the answer: The end of the bracelet points the right way on this one!).

I’m just getting started in all this craziness, and I seem to have a thing for silver (and white) dials, too. Damn the Silver Timex Marlin that got me into this mess 😜.

Thanks! Never would have done it on my own (with kids to educate and a major home renovation about to start), but Mom was very generous with holiday gifts this year following Dad’s death in October. Knowing my practicality, she was specific that the money was to go to watches and not into savings, in thanks for all I had done to manage family affairs. I’m actually pretty proud to have turned $3k into 12 watches including a new GS. I think I did pretty well.
