And then there’s Mod

First real mod. Always wanted a “ghost bezel” like a Yacht Master, and have always been tempted to pick up a blue Duro. Decided to have both.

Followed advice of Marc from Long Island Watches to get original insert off with golf club grip tape dissolver. Worked like a charm. Made a mess of the ring of tape that came with the new AliExpress insert, so just ended up using Krazy Glue.

Only prior mod experience was removing a cyclops from an Invicta Pro Diver and grinding the word “Invicta” off the side of the case.

Brilliant! Looks great! I’ve just done the same Marc technique with an skx and it worked fantastic as well. 🌈 Marc is the Man when it comes to watch guys sharing their knowledge and offering awesome watches for sure!

Or I go to the US

I used Google Earth to find the point midway between us. It’s in the middle of the Pacific, and it’s called “2024 Google.” I’ll meet you there!

Looks pretty cool to me!

Well done 👏🏻👏🏻

Speaking of Long Island Watch, Marc sells oyster and jubilee-style bracelets for Duros. I have one of the jubilee-style bracelets, and it is fantastic and makes the Duro look very up-market. One of those would look terrific with that mod.

I would love to give Marc the business, but I am a strap guy all the way.

Great mod. Transformed the Duro into something more interesting.
