Was literally just looking at buying one (would definitely do the same bezel mod). How are they in the flesh?

Pressed =/= Impressed. I personally love it though. My other grail is the Explorer 114270 which also has the pressed clasp.

It was the same with my grandad. I was surprised by how much that helped in the end.

He was very cool. I always tell people he was like if you put Peter Cushing's head on Clint Eastwood 😁. Trust me, that's a perfect description of him.

As someone said above, I don't think he is a Rolex fanboy. I think he just isn't really into watches. Looks like he's only owned three since the mid 80s, and he seems to buy when the last one is worn out.

No, agreed. As far as I can tell he only sporadically wore watches until after he left the band. I chose the three I did because they're easy to ID and they're the only three he seems to have consistently worn. The Datejust is by far the record-holder lasting about two decades, and was obviously well worn as it has a ding in the end link that buckles the bracelet so that his cuff slips under it.

Explorer. I'm guessing it's the 39mm.

With the release of Roger's new album, it's a good time to look back at the three one-watch collections he's sported over the past few decades. Which do you prefer? Edit: photos are in the comments. T...
