Pressed =/= Impressed. I personally love it though. My other grail is the Explorer 114270 which also has the pressed clasp.

As someone said above, I don't think he is a Rolex fanboy. I think he just isn't really into watches. Looks like he's only owned three since the mid 80s, and he seems to buy when the last one is worn out.
No, agreed. As far as I can tell he only sporadically wore watches until after he left the band. I chose the three I did because they're easy to ID and they're the only three he seems to have consistently worn. The Datejust is by far the record-holder lasting about two decades, and was obviously well worn as it has a ding in the end link that buckles the bracelet so that his cuff slips under it.
