Roger Waters' three one-watch collections.

With the release of Roger's new album, it's a good time to look back at the three one-watch collections he's sported over the past few decades. Which do you prefer?

Edit: photos are in the comments.

  1. The Rolex Datejust he wore from the mid 80s to the late 2000s.

  2. The black Rolex Submariner he wore during his Wall tour around the early 2010s.

  3. The new Rolex Explorer he's been wearing since.

For someone so creative this shows a remarkable lack of imagination. I'd not class him as interested in watches.

Yes. I presume he has the same attitude he does with his dress sense - The Ian Malcolm philosophy. If he has only one outfit and watch to wear every day, he doesn't have to waste any time choosing.

Although having said that, I'd say the Sub is the most boring of the three, and apparently his wife bought him that (and took it in the split).

Explorer. I'm guessing it's the 39mm.

Itty-bitty wrist badge for that guy!!

No, agreed. As far as I can tell he only sporadically wore watches until after he left the band. I chose the three I did because they're easy to ID and they're the only three he seems to have consistently worn. The Datejust is by far the record-holder lasting about two decades, and was obviously well worn as it has a ding in the end link that buckles the bracelet so that his cuff slips under it.

A classless antisemite has pedantic taste, no surprise there. First time I wish Watchcrunch had a thumbs down emoji.

Why talk about watches when you have one of the greatest modern lyricists alive today…… he could wear a skmei for me 😉

Never saw him as a Rolex fanboy though…

As someone said above, I don't think he is a Rolex fanboy. I think he just isn't really into watches. Looks like he's only owned three since the mid 80s, and he seems to buy when the last one is worn out.
