Watchfam invites x3

Saaaaame. I’m like, “damn, normal people actually have enough friends that three of them might like watches? damn.“🤣

Hahaha I know, right? 

My dad wore watches my whole life, but as soon as smartwatches came out, he hasn't  looked back.

My closest friends don't  care about watches

My wife thinks it is funny that I like them as much as I do.

All the watch friends we are ever gonna make are already here or will make their way lol

Exactly! I just gave my dad his first auto this Christmas, and that’s it. Oh, I have one friend/family-friend that owns some vintage Rolex’, but he has a simple and more distilled approach to his acquisitions and is not an enthusiast the way we are here.

I have 4 watch friends... Kinda.  

One is already on here, one doesn't like anything so wont sign up, one said "I looked it, not interested," and the last one is a dude at work that I don't know well enough to invite. Haha

Well, you did your best, man. That  is better than me that's  for sure lol

I wonder if I gave my dad an auto, he would be able to break away from the hold of his smartwatch...

My dad pretty much wore a Casio F91W, or something like that, until smart watches and nothing else. He did know a little bit about autos when i told him about it. Bless him, he called it a timepiece and said he loved it and wanted me to size the bracelet for him right away. I just noted that he was a semi-style conscious fellow, and that a steel sports watch could fit multiple scenarios, and certainly better in a suit than a smart watch, but something he didn’t have to baby when he did his gardening.

Funny, my dad wore casio calculator watches for years. For him they were utilitarian, whereas for me they are something of a callback to my youth.

Unfortunately it won’t take off…

I don't  have any social media accounts, but this one and it seems to be going very well. Everybody has legitimately  good opinions and share some neat things. Let's  hopen it does continue. If not we'll it was a fun time while it lasted.

I just don’t have 3 watch friends to invite onboard if I did I would I’m like you I don’t have any other accounts and thought that I would never sign up for a watch platform I usually follow along but thought Id give it ago I’m more into repair restoration than collecting. I can see this site doing very well.

Oh, gotcha. Restoration is pretty intriguing to watch. My buddy who isn't  even into watches will watch a watch restoration then tell me to watch because it is so amazing.
