Perhaps a better appearance..

I can't  help, but look at these two and wish to take them and blend them together. I am a sucker for negative displays as of late. Between the two, the latter has a better display, but I love the blue tone for the upper half on the first. I don't  care for the blue text wrapping the bezel though. I'd  also point out that the red button is an eyesore and I'd  happily take the matching black button offered on the blue model. I imagine it would be easy to mod the display with a film or gel. Thoughts?

Would have to agree, the red button makes the latter a bit too childish

If I had to buy one right now I would end up with that one. That being said, you are absolutely  right. The red detracts from the design and is a bit childish indeed. In most digital I prefer a blackout or gunmetal tone, the red can be obnoxious  in those cases.

I really like how this watch looks I've wanted one since I've seen them it sort of reminds me of one of the first watches in my collection the ae-1000w but like it's bigger brother I would definitely grab the one with the blue accents and make the entire screen negative. I would suggest film as I've never done it but have observed many beginners use it in success on their first try. Best of luck I may add this one to the list myself.

I recently gifted the ae1000 to my nephew. He really dug it. It was the green model. I have been spoiled by square worldtime casios, not that I don't  find round worldtimes as cool, but I now have a focus on models like the AE1100W-1BV or the AE1100W-1A. AE-3000W-1AVCF is a very cool worldtime as well.

Oh I definitely want to have an 1100 but I believe it's the AE-1100WD-1AVDF that I'd like. But the 1100W-1A is cool looking as well.

Very solid choice. I have stepped back from bracelets, for most watches, myself. Some desperately need a bracelet, whereas others can pull of a completely different look with leather, nato, resin, etc. That is a sharp watch regardless.

Thanks I'm not sure if I'm going to like the bracelet that's on it because I've never felt it in hand and my first experience with a casio bracelet was on an mtp and it had me keeping the watch put up until I could get to a watch store and put a strap on it. But I am willing to give this one a chance now knowing that I can get to a different strap option fairly easily.

I've  lout too much armchair to bracelets lol that is my main deterrent. Wish we had local watch shops, my best options are Walmart and that is about it.

Yeah I used to live out in the country myself growing up but it is nice to be around atleast a couple shops.
