Recently I posted a poll regarding considering buying a super clone Rolex as opposed to dealing with the Rolex ADs and the utter BS of trying to just buy a watch from them. It was suggested to me to check out Pagani Design, because they had a Datejust homage with the palm leaf motif that I wanted. After weighing the Pagani versus a super clone, I went with the Pagani - in part because it was a 39 MM dial as opposed to the 36 MM of the Rolex original. One of the shortcomings of the Rolex was that 36 seems small to me - not that I ever had the chance to actually see the Rolex to know how it might have worn.
The Pagani arrived today, and I have to say I won’t be bothering to chase the Rolex! Pagani delivers what Rolex can’t - a watch. Time from ordering directly from Pagani to delivery on the US east coast was about 2weeks. I figure I’ll buy a few more. Rolex and it’s ADs can keep their attitude. I’ll keep thousands and thousands of dollars to spend on Omega and Glashutte Original.

Love it when a plan comes together!!!

I have to agree! I’m sure the Rolex is nice also, which at approximately 115 times the cost on the scalpers market it really ought to be, lol!
Good move. Rewarding the R is to be avoided, IMHO.
Haha, I just posted almost the exact same post! Congrats on catching the watch you really wanted! 😎
Pagani is one of the major homage leaders most people like.

I would have to say that I can see why now that I have one in hand. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a Rolex but is disgusted by the AD game. I wouldn’t consider a homage for any other brands, because I can just buy them from an AD. I’d never buy an Omega homage, for instance, because the real thing is available to legitimately buy without the BS of Rolex. I figure I’ll buy a few more Pagani homages instead of even bothering with Rolex - probably an Air King, a Kermit, and maybe a Batman. Rolex lost me before they ever had me, and I am thrilled!
I totally agree they rolled there eyes on me and care less to show me the basics. All they wanted if I was interested to buy. I got a really bad vibes experience if Rolex wanna be like that I care less for them. I rather get a Sinn, Tudor or Tissot or those three over one Rolex. For sure I say they are a remarkable watches just the people the snobbish behind the seen that I don't like.
