Let’s talk about it!!

This is what I’m calling the Seiko Adventurer. It’s from JB watch mods in Australia. Please see the specs below. They did a great job. They call it an aged explorer. The case is a bead blasted deep 🫒 almost bronze. It’s simply fantastic. With the open case back you can see that beautiful NH35 movement 🤣. So far I’ve just worn it in the shower but I like to believe it will perform well in lake, pool, snow etc!!! I currently have it on a Barton straps cordura and rubber hybrid strap but the ribbed strap it comes on is pretty decent quality. It has been keeping great time so far. About 7 seconds fast. It arrived within about 2 weeks from Australia air mail. I received pretty good customer service from the team out there. Their Etsy store has tons of really good looking Seiko mods.

38mm field watch style case in "Olive green" with sapphire crystal from NamokiMods.

20mm lug width to suit many different strap options.

12mm case thickness.

Extra slim exhibition case back.

Screw down crown.

Featuring JB watch mods Black and Khaki premium ribbed weave Nato strap with black hardware

The heart of the watch, the movement, Is a Seiko NH35 hacking and hand winding movement, ensuring longevity and enjoyment for many years to come.

The NH35 movement has a 41 hour power reserve and 24 jewels and is self winding.

Thank you my friend

loving the color combo and build! I really dig the flat, wide-ish bezel. Just screams durability to me.

You nailed it, it is built very well. I’ve already challenged one door frame with no scratches on the case afterwards 🤣.

any chance they have a variation of that case with crown guards?

·

I would prefer numerals to the rectangle indices. Nice field watch.

I didn’t see anything like that on their website but that’s not to say they wouldn’t make it for you.

Crown guards would have been a nice touch.

Looks great! Love the bead blasted and subtle color case. What’s going on with the day/date discs? They look kind of orange, almost like they have patina?

Yea the date I’m not a huge fan of. They tried to age it but it didn’t really come out that good imo. I would have rather a subtle olive or even black date wheel.

Great looking mod here! I've been wanting something more field style with a fixed bezel and slimmer case... May have to go build one like this for myself!

Nice , I live in Australia so it’s good news for me shipping wise :)

I suggest doing that. I wish I had gotten into doing mods a few years ago. I tried once and it turned out awful but I’m glad there are people out there in the community doing really cool mods and selling them for decent prices.

That’s is pretty awesome to hear. At least if you go the JB watch mod route you’ll get it in no time!!

This is a great mod! It’s bold in all the right ways.

I never cared for mods years ago, but have been slowly warming up to them. In fact, yours watch is making me consider one in the future.

I was in the same boat. Never wanted anything to do with a Seiko mod after owning many seikos. I saw this and thought I had to have it. They have a blue dialed mod that I’m seriously contemplating pulling the trigger on. As we all know, it’s and addiction 🤦🏾‍♂️.

They’re fun to build for sure and the options are limitless!!

The heart wants what it wants 🤣.

I have never owned a Sekio, but have always been on my radar. I like to tinker with things, so I might try to mod one on my own; it could be a fun winter project. Hopefully I don’t ruin it 🙄.

·

Seiko modding became more popular after seiko released a weak 5KX lineup and hiking their prices. This piece is a testament that you can build your own for less.

You know, I may try and do the same.

I couldn’t agree with you more.
