The better SKX?

I know everyone considers the Seiko SKX007 the most iconic of the Seiko Divers, but it's the SKX013 I prefer.

The main difference is the size: 36mm is my favorite case size for my smaller wrist. But also, I was always bothered by the 007's lollipop seconds hand, with the lume pip on the *wrong* end of the hand. (Seiko has done this with several models, such as on the "dresskx" and the Seiko 5 Sports Divers.) The 013 seconds hand features a much more practical arrow.

Am I the only one with a problem with the lume pip on the opposite end of where the seconds hand is pointing?

I would pick the 013 over the 007 too because of the difference in size. Too bad that model has jumped up in price so much.

Too bad the new smaller 5kx has the wrong hands.

Both are iconic and great. 013 might be better for smaller wrists but some have noted the proportions are off (not just a mini 007). I would have jumped on both if I didn’t get the Orient Mako already.

I gots the SKX009j1

I agree I would like the lolllipop on the other end but that was a very easy thing to over look in my opinion for the rest of what I was getting.

Love my 013!

I’m in the 007 camp but it really depends on wrist size. Feels great on my 7.25” wrist

Yeah. I’m in the 007 team too. I own one and I love it. Of cos, both are great and most importantly is it has to fit you well and if you love it, that’s great! :)

For me it was the 013. For a long time, I only had 1 watch and I found that 013 was a little but more versatile because I could wear it with everything, casuals, formals etc.

SKX013 FTW. Perfect size. 7" wrist.
