SOTC Feb 2022!

My new watchbox came today and I am already regretting not going for a 12 space! I thought I would take the opportunity to make a post. I apprieciate this is very much a budget collection!

Thanks to @MWC2020 who’s Youtube channel has been the source of much binging these last few days and inspired me to just enjoy my watches.

From top left to bottom right;

Leonidas ‘Big Eyes’ circa 1940? - My late Grandfathers watch. This was ‘serviced’ and given to me as a wedding gift and as such has a lot of sentimental value to me. Unfortunately the chronographs dont seem to function correctly, but I may just be using it wrong! Any info on this apprieciated.

G shock GAW-100B - A christmas present from my Dad in 2019 and worn quite a lot when outdoors.

Seiko Prospex Turtle SRPF15K1 - A recent purchase in the January sales when I couldnt source a reasonably priced SKX! love the dial and the size and is definately a keeper.

G-Shock GA-2100-2AER - Only had this a couple of days but absolutely love it and it definitely lives up to the hype.

Casio F-91w - No explanation needed here, beater for using on building sites or when doing DIY.

Skagen SKW-6019 - An engagement present from my (now) wife. Say what you like but I am fond of this and I think its nicely made. It needs a new rear caseback following a battery change (was dented!) and a spec of dust removing from the dial.

Edifice EF-508 - Had this a few years, was a birthday present I believe. On rotation for in the office along with the Vostok and the F-91w. Nice watch/beater, actually seems to get more compliments/comments than my others!

Vostok Amphibia ‘Scuba Dude’ - My first automatic watch with a few modifications. Love this watch and wear it at least a couple of days a week in the office.

G-Shock GAC-100 - My first G-Shock. Has some patina and is generally superceded by the other G-Shocks in my collection. It needs a new caseback seal and some water ingress mold cleaning out of it, but still works fine.

Hilfiger TH.354.1.14.260 - A christmas present and, for what it is, its a nice little watch that is different to my others. Needs a new battery but the pop-on caseback is presenting me some difficulty in removing!

Out of shot are Fossil and Armani watches which dont really get any use!

Future purchases are a Field Watch and I may modifiy the GAC-100 with a Nato and Wireguard.

Nice collection. I really like the diversity of it. Dont even worry about it being "budget", as long as you enjoy them. And i totally hear you on the "should have got the bigger box". We can never turn down just one more ;)

That Leonidas is a beauty as well.  Haven't seen that one before, gotta look that up.

Lovely collection. The scuba dude looks awesome on that strap.

Thanks! Its the genuine Vostok one, surprisingly good quality for the cost. The  Skagens bracelet feels better though.

Ive just this morning opened up the Skagen and cleaned the dust off the crystal.

For a ‘fashion’ watch its quite nicely made!
