Sometimes things just work out

The title says it all. Micro brands are my current “thing” I’ll admit but sometimes you just say what the heck then things could not have worked out better. For instance, what came in the mail today.

I went ahead and experienced something new by backing a Kickstarter watch offer by Xeric a few months ago. Get deeper into the hobby in a way. Delivery for that is still months away, however Xeric decided to have a “mystery box” sale at like half off. I resisted. Then they sent out a special code for another 15% off via email. Debate ensued. I’ve never had a Xeric, especially the orbital display, so the old “oh what the hell, you only go around once in life” attitude kicked in so an order for a blind grab bag for bit of change was placed. Experience the brand with something else first. That something arrived today.

It’s an emerald green Xeric Triptych. I could not have picked better. My better half was sitting there and she thought it was absolutely stunning. I concur. And also love triptychs. Can’t wait to wear it.

Some times you take a chance and things just work out.

Hope you have some similar times.

Haven't had the best experience with kickstarter, misses more than hits tbh but I never tried a watch from there. Tell us what you think soon as you get yours!

My husband has several Xeric watches and likes them a lot. They’ve been great to deal with.

I almost said a poor man’s Urwerk but…. 😎

I went through a phase with KS and currently have 6-7 watches from there. Recently I am sworn off after too many scams and KS absolute lack of any kind of accountability. In that batch though are two wandering hours, although nothing from Xeric, and I am wearing one today.

Looks like you spun the wheel and won big! Congrats! Fun looking watch.

Super cool congrats! I don't have the guts to play the mystery box game 🤣

That is a totally cool looking watch, I have had one of those in my shopping cart a half dozen times. How is the build quality? Would love to see a wrist shot. Enjoy!
