Loved the review/video. Great specs, style and looks. Ticks a ton of boxes, I'm just trying to process the $3000 price tag. Its not out of budget and has the specs to back it up, but there are a lot of very capable watches at this price point. Wonder how its long term value will hold. 

I've always loved Sinn and Glashutte will add them one day- Have you looked at Hanhart? Tons of history and the 417ES is just beautiful, running a Sellita 510M manual Chronograph and comes on an incredible bund strap. It is a bit big at 42mm but they are coming out with a 39mm shortly which would be just perfect and at roughly $2,000 it is not priced outrageously. 

We have always have a separate jewelry rider to our umbrella policy. We have all of our pieces appraisals/valuations done every few years and update the policy as needed for new pieces, etc.  Jewelry policies can get expensive on their own, if you can get a rider to your umbrella, or home owners you can save a bit. Be careful, read the policy carefully make sure you are getting what you want, replacement value vs. appraised value and certain insurance companies have certain requirements. In addition to the rider we have a separate policy for just a few particular pieces through CHUBB but it is very expensive and they must be appraised by them, locked in a vault and you need to notify them when those pieces are going out and when (approx.) they return. I have a Patek Calatrava that I inherited from my father that is my birth year and was left to me after he passed. I did the similar, when my son was born. I bought a 2012 Rolex Submariner which I will give to him when he turns 18. Until then it is lightly worn and well loved.
