The Valjoux wobble.

I recently got a Longines master with a Valjoux based movement. And yes. You notice the wobble. But you know what. I think I like it. I seem to do a little wrist flick, just to have the wobble feel on my wrist.

if you don’t know what I’m referencing, Valjoux  make movements and they tends to wind the main spring only when they rotate in one direction. And as a result their rotors spin very quickly in one direction.

this piece is my fanciest and most complicated by a long way, and now I find if anything else is on my wrist, I end up doing that little wrist flick and nothing. Even other automatic watches don’t give me that same feedback. I’ve heard that some people don’t enjoy this sensation. And maybe I’m just a millennial with a $3000 fidget spinner. Who knows, but I don’t care.

I like the Valjoux wobble.

I like it too....the 7750 has the strongest kick.

When you explain it that way it makes me want to get a watch with a movement like that. My H51 is a manual wind so no wobble but it is based off the 7753. Maybe I'll pick up the Automatic version or just get the Big Eye as is my dream.

H-21, based on Valjoux 7750, wobbles like a bobble head.

i don't mind the wobble also and it's part of the fun in wearing a watch.

My dad & I share a Tag Carrera Calibre 16 which also has that Valijoux base movement.  I think the wobble adds to the charm of the watch - I too am on team wobble

Oh yeah! love the wobble! Long live the wobble!
